I had been anticipating the wedding of Grace and Jimmy- Dean for quite some time – with the allure of Sunnybrae estate (which I had heard so many good reports about) and an amazingly fun loving, gorgeous couple to photograph who wouldn’t be? And the day was everything I had expected and more.
Grace made a most spectacular bride and couldn’t seem to stop smiling and laughing all morning. Her wedding dress was stunning (I have to admit I have a real soft spot for a big, princess type dress) and her shoes were just adorable – fitting in perfectly with Grace and Jimmy-Dean’s Disney and super hero theme. There were so many beautiful touches added especially to remember those who couldn’t be present, including memorial cufflinks with photos of loved ones, memorial candles and a beautiful locket with a photo of Grace’s dad kept close to her heart at all times.
The Sunnybrae Estate venue certainly didn’t disappoint – the grounds are a real little oasis just on the outskirts of the Adelaide City. Although you are only just outside of the main city the setting feels a world away. The functions coordinators were so accommodating and the venue for both the ceremony and reception looked amazing. We even caught a glimpse of the infamous peacocks which strut around the grounds (though they managed to escape our cameras!). It was a beautiful ceremony conducted by Phil who was a family friend of the couple. To make the day even more remarkable it was the wedding anniversary of Jimmy-Deans parents as well!
We had so much fun photographing in the stylish Kombi’s hired for the event and we enjoyed walking around the beautiful Sunnybrae grounds to capture some beautiful images.
Grace and Jimmy- Dean had hired DJ Ben Events for their reception and I couldn’t recommend him any more highly. If you want your party started he is the man to see. Between the awesome music (with loads of Disney soundtracks incorporated of course!), the shoe game and the scavenger hunt, every single person was involved in the event and having a raving good time by the end of the evening. It was truly an amazing day and I wish you both all the best for many years to come!
